COMIC

Cartoonist Charles Addams was born on January 7, 1912, in Westfield, New Jersey. His dark, some might say macabre, humor became an institution at The New Yorker, where he worked for more than five decades. His famous "Addams Family" cartoons later formed the inspiration for the 1960s television comedy of the same name.

They were originally created by Charles Addams in his cartoons in the New Yorker magazine.
